Why do we need a Sexual Menu?

Virtual Workshop
  • To avoid awkward conversations
  • Reduce misunderstandings in the bedroom
  • Increase sexual satisfaction
  • Learn more about your own sexuality and preferences
  • Provide a safe way to explore
  • Strengthens trust
  • Set boundaries for what you like and for exploration
  • Understand how consent is communicated

Participants will get a lengthy handout of information to help you complete your menus. Dr. Waldron will go through each section and provide some time for you to think about each part and write it down.

What's on your Menu?

Appetizer, Main Course, Dessert

A menu allows you to expand the experience rather than only focus on the main course. We will review IT ALL!

Appetizer: foreplay, things that get you in the mood

Main Course: Sex can include many different things. Be clear about what you like, don't like, and what you want to explore

Dessert: Aftercare activities. This often neglected part of the event is a great time to connect, reflect, and continue to enjoy each other.

What else is covered?

Each person will review a lengthy list of menu options for their appetizer, main course, and dessert. They can also add not covered options. It can't stop here!

Then comes the details. The menu needs a bit of a recipe so that activities are clear. Such as talking through some of the details. For instance, I really like lasagna, but when I think of lasagna (cheese), my partner may have a different picture in mind (meat). It will be important to talk through some of those details.

Remember, the goal is for you to have clarity for yourself to then communicate to your partner about your preferences. We will talk about ways to navigate some of these differences in ideas. Topics that facilitate these discussions include: initiation, consent, and fantasy sharing.
